Job Summary: The Installation Project Manager & Body Builder Liaison will be responsible for overseeing the installation of our products, coordinating with body builders, and working to bring more installation processes in-house. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and strong communication abilities to ensure seamless installations and effective collaboration with external partners.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation Management:
- Oversee the installation of products, ensuring they meet company standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare installation plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation process.
- Ensure all installations are completed on time and within budget.
Liaison with Body Builders:
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and body builders.
- Coordinate with body builders to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects.
- Communicate technical requirements and specifications to body builders.
- Build strong partnerships to drive improved on-site body builder collaboration and improve facility support
- Monitor the quality of work performed by body builders and provide feedback as necessary.
Bringing Installations In-House:
- Develop and implement strategies to bring more installation processes in-house.
- Identify and acquire the necessary tools, equipment, and resources for in-house installations.
- Train and mentor in-house installation teams to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Continuously evaluate and improve in-house installation processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Project Management:
- Plan, schedule, and manage installation projects from start to finish.
- Coordinate with internal teams, including sales, engineering, and customer service, to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain detailed project documentation and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Manage project budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions.
Customer Relations:
- Communicate with customers to understand their installation needs and provide technical support.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality installations and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Gather customer feedback and use it to improve installation processes and services.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in installation management, preferably in a related with transport refrigeration industry.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and communicate complex technical information.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and customers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using project management software and tools.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
- Regular UK travel will be required.
