The Role

We're looking for an enthusiastic Customer Service & Sales Advisor to join our busy team in Harrow. This office-based role involves managing inbound sales enquiries (no cold calling), processing orders, and supporting customers through every stage of their purchase journey.

You'll need to be detail-oriented, proactive, and confident communicating with customers and suppliers. Training will be provided on our products and internal systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls and emails professionally and efficiently
  • Process online, email, and telephone orders accurately
  • Ensure supplier order confirmations match customer specifications
  • Manage delivery updates, resolve issues, and handle customer complaints
  • Raise and issue proforma invoices
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm stock availability and delivery timelines
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure all queries are resolved promptly
  • Perform daily checks to ensure all orders and communications are completed before end of day
  • Support general office administration and assist with process improvements

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in customer service and/or sales
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and administrative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
  • Confident working independently and within a team
  • Good maths and analytical skills (minimum GCSE Grade C or equivalent)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, proactive attitude with a professional telephone manner

Desirable (Training Provided)

  • Experience or knowledge of rooflights, glazing, glass, or the construction industry
  • Understanding of technical drawings, measurements, or installation processes
  • Ability to provide technical sales support to trade professionals (e.g., architects, contractors, builders)

  • Education: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
  • Experience: 2+ years in customer service (preferred)
  • Location: Must be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate to Harrow (HA2 6AE)
