We have an opportunity for an Assistant Manager with ambitions to become a Manager in a short space of time, to join an established advisory team in London.

A large part of your work will be buy-side transactions, working with some of the leading PE houses in London, strategic buyers, banks and other financial investors The team is sector agnostic but has extensive experience working with tech-enabled businesses and a strong international offering.

You will be working alongside an experienced, ambitious team with a supportive and inclusive partner.

As an Assistant Manager you will:

  • Manage on buy-side/sell-side transactions, keeping everything running smoothly and making sure all the right people are involved at the right time
  • Manage multiple deals with confidence—delegate smartly, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality work for senior review
  • Craft sharp, insightful due diligence reports that highlight key findings and tell a clear story
  • Support new business development by preparing proposals and joining introductory client meetings
  • Understand the ins and outs of mid-market deals and advise clients on how diligence impacts structure and strategy
  • Build strong client and colleague relationships and keep communication flowing throughout the deal process
  • Mentor junior team members—offer feedback, support development, and help with performance reviews
  • Use your Excel skills to review and prepare financial models that support investment decisions

The successful candidate:

  • Qualified Accountant
  • 1-2 years' Transaction Services experience from a professional services/accountancy firm environment
  • Experience working on transactions in the lower-mid-market space, including clients such as owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and SMEs.

This role would suit an ambitious Assistant Manager who is looking to take the next step up to Manager in the very near future.
