Role summary/purpose of job

We are seeking a proactive and highly organised Early Talent Specialist with knowledge of the career trajectory and pathways in the field of Chartered Accountancy accounting, audit and tax professional qualifications including ACA, AAT, ATT and CTA. The role is to join a dynamic Early Careers team on a 12 month fixed term contract and provide critical support across both the Recruitment and Development functions during a peak period of activity. The Early Talent Specialist will contribute to the delivery of high-quality recruitment campaigns and development programmes for future and current trainees, apprentices, and early talent.

The Early Talent Specialist
is an essential part of the Early Talent team and works as part of the wider Talent Development and People team. The role offers flexible hybrid working with one day a week office based. You may work from the office more if you prefer, but the whole People team are in on Wednesdays.

The role focuses on the support, development, and retention of over 350 trainees within this leading Chartered Accountancy firm who are studying for a range of accounting, audit and tax professional qualifications including ACA, AAT, ATT and CTA.

  • The team of Advisors is the primary point of contact for both school leaver, placement, and graduate trainees during their 3–4-year training contract or 12-month placement.
  • Advisors provide guidance for all aspects of learning & development, the qualification, trainee wellbeing, and a link with the resourcing team to balance the study and work schedule.
  • Advisors also support Training Managers and Partners across the firm and are the glue which sits between the firm and external stakeholders are First Intuition, the primary training provider, First Intuition, Kaplan, BPP and professional bodies such as ICAEW, AAT and CIOT.

We're looking for someone who has

  • worked with trainees or apprentices before
  • experience with people development or learning and development
  • experience with stakeholder management
  • A big benefit if you already have experience with accounting, audit or tax qualifications and experience supporting apprenticeship qualifications.
