Payroll and Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our team.
You will provide support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Your role will involve a variety of administrative tasks to assist in the smooth running of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Processing daily payroll for a large client with daily, weekly and monthly payment runs.
- Assisting with payment reconciliations
Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner
Communicating with clients via email to resolve queries
Assist with bookkeeping tasks using Xero and in house bespoke software
Ensuring tax codes and student loan notices are applied promptly and accurately.
- Provide administrative support to other team members as required
Skills
To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software programs
- Excellent data entry skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong administrative and clerical skills
- Professional phone etiquette with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Prior accounts and payroll experience is a requirement for this role.
