They have an amazing brand and very much a market leader in their sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for a PayrollManager to manage a team and join the business on a permanent basis.
Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director we have a new role for HR & Payroll Manager to process in excess of 500 staff on both weekly & monthly payrolls combined with responsibility for HR database. You will be a key contact for all HR/payroll relatedmatters including the accurate calculations & submission of all employment taxes, company pension & Apprenticeship levy. Confident & calm working to strict deadlines with a focus on resolution of any queries in a quick and efficient manner.
**Your new role as Payroll Manager**:
Main responsibilities:
Full accountability of payroll processing and reconciliation, dealing with all aspects of payroll from start to finish; i.e. calculating overtime, issuing tax forms, managing maternity/sickness, ensuring payment is made on time and distribution of payslips
Ensure payrolls are processed accurately weekly and monthly with a mix of salary, weekly & hourly pay with various bonus schemes.
Liaise with Management Accounts to agree and reconcile HMRC payments.
Oversee the process for reconciling all payroll journals.
Responsibility for running all year-end processes and reports in conjunction with Management Accounts, to ensure that all external payments are processed correctly and in line with specified deadlines.
Responsibility for processing all BACS payments.
Oversee the processing of all bonus payments in line with agreed rules and targets.
Undertake and manage all duties related to P11D processing, NIC car analysis, payments, dispensation and payments.
Manage the extract of relevant data from Time and Attendance system into the correct format for import into the Payroll system.
Responsibility for New starter information and right to work checks for compliance before any payments are processed. Manage process accordingly.
Ensure that the Payroll system is regularly maintained and updated.
To liaise with external/internal audit teams as appropriate, to ensure that the correct processes and procedures are being consistently followed.
To ensure that reports are completed on a timely basis, in line with agreed deadlines:
- To monitor and evaluate the performance of all colleagues within your team, ensuring feedback is provided informally / formally on a regular basis.
To identify and implement the training needs of all colleagues within the team.
To ensure that all administration and documentation procedures relevant to the department are maintained.
To undertake any other ad hoc duties/projects as requested
**The Experience & Qualifications Required**:
CIPP desirable, study support available
Previous experience of payroll processing at high employee volumes and staff management
**Your Reward & The Package On Offer**:
As Payroll Manager you shall receive a salary between £35,000-£40,000 per annum plus a whole range of fantastic benefits
