Role Overview:

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive individual to join our dynamic team as an Exhibition Stand Builder & Production Operative . This dual-role position supports both the in-house production of exhibition graphics and components, and the on-site installation of exhibition stands across the UK and beyond. You'll play a key part in the creation, preparation, and assembly of custom-built exhibition environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Production Assistance (Workshop-Based)

• Print and finish large format graphics, including fabric tension systems and foamed boards. (experience advantageous but not essential. On site training can be provided)
• Operate equipment such as the router table and large format printers (Previous experience is preferred, but not essential as full in house training can be provided)
• Use of the sewing machine for large format fabrics. (Full training provided, experience not necessary).
• Conduct quality checks on all printed and finished materials and carefully pack ready for dispatch.
• Assist in the preparation of custom stand elements (Basic woodwork and assembly skills required)
• Manage inventory and maintain accurate stock levels of materials and consumables.
• Keep the production areas clean, organised, and in a ready-to-work state.
• Support the general maintenance and servicing of production equipment and tools.
• Follow company health & safety procedures at all times.

Stand Building (On-Site Installations)

• Support the senior installation team during the setup and dismantle of exhibition stands at various venues.
• Safely load, transport, and unload materials and components to and from venues.
• Assemble and install exhibition structures, graphics, and furniture in line with design drawings.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet deadlines and client expectations.
• Maintain a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail during all build processes.
• Act professionally on-site and represent the company positively in front of clients and venue staff.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in exhibitions, production, print, or construction is beneficial but not essential. Full training can be provided where needed.
• Hands-on practical skills and a willingness to learn.
• Competent using tools and machinery (training provided).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Due to the nature of the exhibition industry and the unusual hours it keeps total flexibility is required. Weekend work will be required when needed and your working hours may change from week to week. Notice of working hours will be given usually 2 weeks or more in advance.
• A full manual UK driving licence is required.

An average week will see you on the road for 2 days then 3 days in our production facility in Hanley, however a working week could be 5 days in the production facility and 0 days on the road or vice versa. It is all dependent on the time of year and jobs we have on that week.
