An enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher with a specialism and passion for Biology is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Haringey for a permanent position commencing in September. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged with the fundamental principles of biology and their relevance to the world around them.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Biology to Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Prepare students effectively for GCSE Science examinations, with a strong emphasis on biological concepts.
  • Foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for biological exploration and experimentation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress in Science (Biology), providing clear and constructive feedback to support their understanding.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Biology or Science with a strong Biology background.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Science Teacher lessons with a focus on Biology at Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • A strong and comprehensive knowledge of biological principles and effective teaching methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex biological ideas clearly and engagingly to students.
