About the Role
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading Main Contractors, for an experienced Senior Bid Manager to join their Midlands region.
Their building division is thriving and delivering outstanding profits, with turnover continuing to rise alongside a strong and growing order book across the region. Reporting directly to the Pre-Construction Director, the successful candidate will join a well-established pre-construction team of around 20 staff.
Applications are invited from Bid Managers, Senior Bid Managers, and Pre-Construction Managers with main contracting experience, who have successfully led bids from £10m to £200m across a range of sectors.

Our client is a UK-based construction and infrastructure company delivering projects across a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, commercial, housing, defence, and transportation.
Operating as part of a larger group, they provide integrated services across the built environment, covering design, construction, fit-out, and regeneration. The business is built on collaboration, sustainability, and innovation, embracing Building Information Modelling (BIM) and other digital methods to enhance efficiency and reduce environmental impact.
They are widely recognised for their commitment to social value, investing in local communities, skills development, and environmental responsibility. Projects range from complex public sector developments to large-scale private builds, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for submitting completed bids to existing or new customers, ensuring all key bid deliverables are achieved
- Plan and lead all aspects of the bid process
- Develop bid-winning strategies and prepare detailed bid plans
Requirements / Key Skills
- Proven main contracting background
- Strong understanding of construction and methods of construction
- Experience leading bids via frameworks, negotiated, and two-stage tenders
