Lead Magento Developer – Preston - Hybrid (2-3 days office) - Up to £65k

A fast-growing ecommerce business is seeking a highly skilled Magento Developer to take on a pivotal leadership role. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on combining hands-on development with strategic thinking, and who is ready to shape their future.

As Lead Magento Developer, you'll be responsible for owning and evolving the Magento 2 platform, delivering high-quality features, integrations, and enhancements that directly impact customer experience and business performance. You'll also lead and mentor a small internal development team, fostering a culture of, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

This role sits at the heart of the business's digital transformation. You'll work closely with stakeholders across ecommerce, marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure that technical delivery aligns with commercial goals. From defining the development roadmap to implementing best practices across the software lifecycle, your influence will be felt across every aspect of the platform's growth.

We're looking for someone with deep Magento 2 experience, strong PHP and some frontend development skills. You should be comfortable managing complex integrations, conducting code reviews, and driving performance, scalability, and security improvements.

Bonus points if you hold Magento certifications or have experience with headless commerce, cloud hosting environments, CI/CD pipelines, or performance monitoring tools. Exposure to technologies like React, Vue, Tailwind, Elasticsearch, and Redis would also be valuable.
