Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, particularly with curtain side vehicles, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the integrity of the cargo.

Duties

  • Operate curtains side lorries to transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
  • Ensure that all cargo is properly secured before departure and remains intact throughout the journey.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Valid commercial driving licence (CPC) with a clean driving record.
  • Experience operating articulated vehicles is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet delivery deadlines.
