Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring & implementing Health, Safety & Environmental procedures, company best-practice, carrying out site inspections, ensuring compliance with current legislation and promoting a positive safety culture across all our sites.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support the creation and implementation of health, safety and environmental policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry best practices.

· Assist the Head of Safety in fulfilment of Health, Safety and Environment Legislation across all sites.

· Conduct regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

· Provide health and safety training, Toolbox Talks and induction programs to employees and sub-contractors, ensuring awareness and understanding of safety procedures.

· Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, carrying out detailed reports and implementing measures to prevent recurrence.

· Ensure all operations comply with health, safety & environmental legislation and company policies through monthly inspections.

· Offer guidance to management and employees on health and safety items to help promote a proactive safety culture.

· Help maintain accurate records of health and safety activities, including training sessions, inspections, and incident reports.

· Work closely with project managers, site managers, and external bodies to coordinate health and safety efforts.

Your Qualifications & Experience:

· NEBOSH Environmental Management Certificate is essential.

· NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety Management for Construction / NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety is preferred.

· Experience in a health, safety & environmental role within the construction or similar high-risk sectors.

· Strong understanding of environmental legislation, regulations, and best practices specific to the construction industry.

· An Understanding of Temporary Works.

· Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
