Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting software and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our company's success.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
  • Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is correctly entered into the system
  • Prepare financial reports and summaries as required by management
  • Assist with payroll processing and other bookkeeping duties as needed
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and company policies
  • Support year-end audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an organisational setting
  • Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting, finance, or related fields are preferred but not essential

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £19,663.55-£40,000.00 per year

Expected hours: 12 – 20 per week
