We have an exciting new vacancy for a Maintenance Assistant to join our team at The Palace Hotel in Buxton. This 186-bedroom hotel is ideally situated in the heart of Buxton town centre, directly opposite Buxton train station. Duties will include:

  • General maintenance tasks both inside and outside of the hotel such as painting, general carpentry, tiling, basic plumbing
  • Using your own initiative with the ability to work alone whilst being considerate of the guests and other hotel staff
  • Communicating effectively as required with both staff and guests.
  • Deal with contractors and visitors accordingly.
  • Ensuring the hotel is well maintained and compliant by completing various tasks as required

The successful candidate will have excellent DIY skills or be a trades person that can tackle various forms of maintenance work.
