Plasma Biotal Ltd. require a Maintenance Assistant to join their Production Team
We are seeking a reliable, practically skilled person to join our maintenance and production team for installation, calibration and maintenance of our equipment and machinery and general production tasks.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on various machinery and equipment across multiple sites/units in Tideswell and Buxton.
- Identify maintenance needs and address them proactively.
- Respond to maintenance requests from departments/sites promptly, prioritising tasks based on urgency and ensuring timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain compliance with relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules, minimising equipment downtime.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs and inspections.
- Ensure the availability of necessary materials for repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Assisting with Production operations where required.
Key skills & attributes:
- Ability to work safely and effectively on your own or as a two person team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities.
- Take pride in keeping things tidy and well-maintained.
- Strong organisation and time management with good attention to detail.
Desirable experience and/or qualifications:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Experience in engineering or mechanical knowledge.
- Engineering, electrical or mechanical qualifications would be advantageous but not a necessity as full training on repairing our equipment and machinery will be provided.
Licence/Certification:
- Driving licence required.
Salary and hours:
Permanent, full-time position (40 hours per week)
Monday to Thursday 8am – 5.15pm
Friday am – 1pm
£26,000 - £28,000 per annum dependant on experience/qualifications.
22 paid holidays per annum + bank holidays.
