We are seeking a
Junior Technical Artist

to support the development of
3D datasets for ML training

. This role requires proficiency in
Blender

and experience across multiple technical areas, including
Lighting, Shading, Modeling, Sculpting, Texturing, Garments, and Grooms

, with a focus on realistic rendering using
Blender Cycles

.

We do not expect candidates to have mastered all disciplines, but a solid foundation in some areas, combined with a strong willingness to learn and grow, is highly valued.

The ideal candidate will have a varied portfolio showcasing both artistic and technical work, as well as a keen interest in leveraging
GenAI tools

and
Python

to develop custom solutions and automate workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enhance existing assets and scenes through improved geometry, materials, and lighting.
  • Process, standardize, and optimize assets to meet strict technical and quality requirements.
  • Annotate and enrich assets to support machine learning (ML) datasets.
  • Support pipeline automation through Python scripting and AI-assisted solutions.
  • Collaborate with the team, adapt to feedback, and maintain high production standards.
  • Demonstrate a proactive attitude and eagerness to learn new technical skills.

Qualifications

  • 1–3+ years of experience in film, animation, or game production with a portfolio of completed projects.
  • Strong artistic and technical skills in model
    ling, texturing, lighting, and optimis
    ation.
  • Experience working within structured QC pipelines and review processes.
  • Ability to follow directions, work collaboratively, and adapt quickly to feedback.

Additional Skills & Information

  • Proficiency in Blender 3.4 and/or willingness to transition from Maya.
  • Curious and willing to leverage GenAI tools for scripting, automation, and workflow improvements.
  • Maintain clear and timely communication with the team, providing updates and responses promptly to support efficient in-person and remote collaboration.
  • Self-motivated and capable of handling both engaging and batch-oriented work efficiently.
  • Eager to expand technical skills and contribute to evolving workflows.
