Lead Technical Artist

We're working with a AAA studio based in Central London. They were only launched around 2 years ago and have been quietly building their studio and working on their own open world MMO RPG, they're up to around 40 now and are looking for a Lead Technical Artist as part of this growth.
In this role, you will work closely with other artists, designers, programmers, and many other disciplines to take the game to the next level. You will be instrumental in developing new tools, processes and techniques to empower designers and artists to create great new content.
To be considered for the role, we'd love to see:
- You've shipped 2 or more games, as a Technical Artist
- Demonstrable leadership skills, you've managed, mentored and developed other Technical Artists
- Great problem-solving and prototyping abilities
- Experience with procedural content creation
- Programming/scripting experience with Python, MEL, C#, C++.
- Understanding of shader creation
- In-depth knowledge of the Unreal Engine
- Undeniable passion for games
The studio is backed by a global publishing giant, but the leadership are fully autonomous and themselves come from an illustrious AAA games background. Salary for this role is between £60,000-£80,000 dependent on experience
