Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in care homes and home care settings, ensuring their comfort and well-being. You will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a supportive environment for those in your care. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals are essential for success in this position.

Duties

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and meal preparation
  • Support individuals in following their personalised care plans, ensuring their needs are met effectively
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to residents, promoting their mental well-being
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in residents' conditions to the healthcare team
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a high standard of care is delivered consistently
  • Drive to various locations as required for home care visits, ensuring safe transportation of clients
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes

Experience

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with creating and implementing care plans is advantageous
  • Proficient English language skills for effective communication with clients and team members
  • Strong IT skills to manage documentation and utilise digital tools effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to build rapport with clients and work collaboratively within a team
