Are you a PQ Accountant and looking for a new challenge?
Join us as an Assistant Accountant in our Glasgow office, where you will play a pivotal role in our Finance team and work, learn and develop in a team of qualified accountants. This is an outstanding opportunity to be part of a world-class organisation known for its innovation and collaboration
How You'll Make An Impact
- Support daily management accounting tasks, including client billing and supplier invoice payments
- Prepare and post month-end journals (e.g., accruals, prepayments, reallocations)
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and advancing variances as needed
- Generate GL reports to support the Finance Manager
- Guarantee precision in monthly client billing and the accompanying calculations
- Conduct weekly supplier payment runs
- Contribute to internal and external report preparation
- Perform ad hoc analysis as required
- Collaborate with regional finance contacts for detailed and timely accounting
- Liaise with the off-shore processing team for month-end transactions and reconciliations
- Foster relationships within the Glasgow finance function, regional teams, and Corporate Accounting
About You
- Part-qualified towards an accounting qualification (ICAS, ICAEW, ACCA, etc.)
- Experience in a similar role and within a large and complex business. We will also consider indivduals from practice.
Technical knowledge (preferable but not necessary):
US GAAP experience
SOX experience
Proven ability to manage priorities and meet challenging deadlines
- Adaptability to change
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Flexible attitude towards multiple tasks and environments
- Experience in process redesign and implementation
- Strong people management and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
