Change Accountancy and Finance are supporting our client, based in Glasgow City Centre, to recruit an Assistant Accountant to their team. A great opportunity to work with an experienced finance team and take on a range of month end close responsibilities, as you continue your professional exams and progress your career.

Applicants for the role will be able to show a range of month end close duties, being hands on with postings and adjustments, as well as showing a proactivity in engaging with other areas of the business to trouble shoot and resolve queries as they arise. Key duties of the role will include;

  • Responsible for a range of month end close and reporting activities
  • Confident post prepayments and accruals
  • Ownership for balance sheet reconciliations
  • Creating MI and performing a range of analysis as required
  • Responsible for a range of bank account reconciliations
  • Overseeing payments and ensuring accuracy of details
  • Assisting with year end audit and statutory accounts
  • Ad hoc duties as required

Key for this role is a competence in month end reporting activity, showing and demonstrating confidence around balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations, with adjustments, as necessary. Applicants will also be confident with Excel and using it to assist in reconciliations as well as wider analysis. Active studiers are welcomed to apply and support will be available for professional exams, post passing probation.

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + benefits
