Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site Administrative Assistant role located in Sheffield. The Administrative Assistant will provide clerical and organizational support the portfolio of Canon Missioner and Prior of the Community of St Paulinus, as well as the Mission Team. Responsibilities include managing correspondence, maintaining schedules, coordinating events, managing office supplies, and assisting with communication between departments. The role also involves administrative support for meetings, maintaining records, and fostering positive interactions with visitors and staff.

This is a part-time role, for 20 hours per week, worked (flexibly to suit the post-holder) across four to five days with the option for hybrid working where appropriate, for a fixed term of 12 months.

Personal specification

  • At least 3 years' experience as a personal or administrative assistant (or comparable role) working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, including scheduling, diary management, communications and document drafting for senior leadership
  • Organised, self-motivated and flexible whilst handling varied tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamworking and communication skills to interact effectively with diverse groups
  • Attention to detail and ability to take minutes and maintain accurate records, including compliance with GDPR
  • high levels of integrity, discretion and confidentiality
  • Proficient IT skills, especially with MS office
  • Experience of the mission, operation, faith of the Church of England would be advantageous
