Responsibilities

  • Serve a variety of beverages, including alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring all equipment is properly cleaned and stored.
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations when necessary.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, demonstrating basic math skills to process payments efficiently.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Monitor guest behaviour to ensure compliance with licensing laws and promote responsible drinking.
  • Assist in restocking supplies as needed and report any equipment malfunctions to management.
  • Uphold high standards of hygiene and safety within the bar area.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred but not essential; we welcome those eager to learn.
  • A solid understanding of hospitality principles and customer service excellence is crucial.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations is advantageous.
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £12.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 10 per week
