A leading secondary school in Westminster is seeking a passionate and inspiring Music Teacher to join their thriving Performing Arts department on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exceptional opportunity to nurture a love of music in young people and provide them with the skills and knowledge to express themselves through this universal language.
The Role:
- Deliver engaging and interactive Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach at Key Stage 5 depending on your specialism and experience.
- Foster a love of music in students, encouraging them to explore a variety of musical genres, instruments, and performance styles.
- Create a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where students feel confident to express themselves musically and develop their musical talents.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of an innovative Music curriculum that caters to a range of musical interests and abilities.
- Lead and direct school ensembles, choirs, and bands, providing opportunities for students to perform and showcase their musical skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance to support their musical development.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong understanding of the UK National Curriculum for Music.
- A proven track record of successful teaching and learning outcomes in Music.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- A passion for Music and a commitment to fostering musical talent in young people.
- Proficiency in a range of musical instruments and/or vocal techniques.
