Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering a comprehensive and engaging music curriculum to students across Key Stages 3 and 4. The role entails fostering a vibrant and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity, expression, and musical development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver captivating music lessons that align with the national curriculum and the school's educational ethos.
  • Create a stimulating classroom atmosphere that promotes student engagement and participation.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to facilitate individual growth.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Music department and across the school to enrich the learning experience, including leading ensembles, choirs, or instrumental groups.
  • Stay abreast of current pedagogical approaches and developments in music education.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Music or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Demonstrated experience teaching Music at the secondary level.
