Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to oversee our bar operations and ensure a high standard of service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, craft beers, wine and cocktails, with a passion for creating an exceptional guest experience. As the Bar Manager, you will lead a team of bartenders and support staff, manage inventory, and maintain compliance with food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage and train bar staff, fostering a positive team environment and promoting professional development.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring all dishes meet our culinary standards.
  • Maintain inventory levels, placing orders as necessary while minimising waste.
  • Implement food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to create innovative drink pairings that enhance the dining experience.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to secure quality products at competitive prices.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints professionally, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent culinary knowledge, including food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on customer service excellence.
