Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Supervisor to help oversee our bar operations and ensure a high standard of service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience. The Bar supervisor will be responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, and maintaining compliance with food safety regulations while fostering a positive team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage bar staff, ensuring efficient service and adherence to company standards.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and safety.
  • Implement training programmes for new staff, focusing on hospitality, serving techniques, and food safety protocols.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock to minimise waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food production standards.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to create innovative menu items that enhance the bar experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring it meets health regulations.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and leadership practices.
  • Handle customer inquiries and feedback with professionalism to enhance guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a bar or restaurant setting.
  • Strong culinary experience with knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices in food production.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or hotel environments is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers and staff alike.
