Casting Production Operator

*RESPONSIBILITIES*
We are currently recruiting multiple Production Operatives to join our post Cast (Finishing) department on the weekend and night shifts.
The Finishing operator will work on high quality investment castings. This role requires good attention to details, precise hand work and the ability to follow detailed work instructions. The operator must be able to work castings into the correct dimensional standard while detecting and reworking defects. There is the use of hand grinders/linishers and the operation of CCM and U/T equipment. (Training will be provided on the job).
*RESPONSIBILITIES*
- Finish investment castings to precise standards as per instructions
- Read, interpret, and strictly follow detailed work instructions
- Inspect all castings for defects
- Use precision tools to handle and re-work castings.
- Ensure proper use of equipment to prevent injury or damage to castings.
- Maintain a fast-paced workflow to meet production targets while upholding quality standard
- Record production data and report issues or deviations to the shift leader promptly
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organised work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
*QUALIFICATIONS*
- Good attention to details and focus on producing high quality work
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions and process documentation
- High level of manual dexterity and steady hands with proven ability to perform precise manual tasks
- Experience using hand tools for detailed work such as belt and hand grinders (Pneumatic).
- Comfortable working with hot materials and adhering to strict safety procedures
- Basic understanding of equipment care and appreciation for working with high value equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all company policies and procedures
- Ability to work on small and large products depending on customer demand.
