Overview

We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering exceptional guest service and creating memorable dining experiences. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred, but full training will be provided for motivated individuals eager to learn. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders, providing recommendations and upselling where appropriate
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by checking in during meals and promptly addressing any concerns or special requests
  • Handle payments accurately using the POS system, including processing cash and card transactions
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of tables, service stations, and dining areas throughout shifts
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and adherence to food safety standards
  • Assist with setting up dining areas before service and clearing after guests depart
  • Promote specials, new menu items, and upselling opportunities to enhance guest experience

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper serving techniques
  • Basic maths skills for handling bills, payments, and change accurately
  • Familiarity with food preparation or kitchen experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
  • Excellent guest service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
  • Ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive attitude towards upselling menu items to maximise guest satisfaction and sales potential
