As Cancer Pathway Navigator, you will play a vital role in ensuring a coordinated, smooth, and efficient service for patients throughout their cancer pathway journey. From the very first stage of suspicion of cancer, you will be actively involved in supporting the Division to implement early diagnostic pathways, helping patients achieve timely interventions and definitive diagnosis by day 28.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate patient pathways : Ensure patients move seamlessly through their cancer journey without unnecessary delays.

Support early diagnostics : Work with the Division to implement early diagnostic pathways for suspected cancer.

Identify and resolve barriers : Communicate sensitively with patients and liaise with health professionals to overcome obstacles to care.

Schedule timely interventions : Ensure tests and appointments are arranged promptly to support efficient diagnosis and treatment.

Collaborate with Cancer Services : Work directly and indirectly with Cancer Services to coordinate patient care.

Work with MDT Co-ordinator : Partner closely with the Cancer MDT Co-ordinator to streamline patient pathways.
