Bath BA NG, United Kingdom NHS Full time

Due to maternity leave, we have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and compassionate cancer nurse to join our team caring for patients with a diagnosis of gynaecological cancer.

This temporary role offers a unique chance to gain insight into the highly specialised responsibilities of a Cancer Nurse Specialist (CNS). You will work closely with experienced CNS colleagues, leading aspects of patient care and supporting individuals through complex treatment pathways. Based in the Gynaecology Department and our state-of-the-art Dyson Cancer Centre, you will be part of an inspiring team dedicated to delivering personalised care in a therapeutic, nurturing, and holistic environment.

This is more than a cover position, it is an opportunity to develop advanced skills in cancer care, build confidence in coordinating multidisciplinary services, and make a real difference to patients and their families during a challenging time in their lives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate nurse to step into the role of Cancer Nurse Specialist (CNS) within our Gynaecology Oncology team.

This position is central to the patient experience and you will be the primary point of contact for individuals and their families throughout the entire cancer pathway, from diagnosis to treatment and beyond. Your role will involve guiding patients through complex decisions, coordinating care across multiple services, and ensuring they receive timely, personalised support.

As part of the gynaecology multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with surgeons, oncologists, fellow CNS colleagues, clinical trials teams, palliative care specialists, and other members of the wider MDT. You will manage both inpatient and outpatient care, and provide continuity that patients rely on during a challenging time. Beyond direct patient care, you will act as a specialist resource across the Trust offering expert advice and education to colleagues.

This role is ideal for a nurse who wants to develop advanced clinical skills, leadership experience, and a deep understanding of cancer pathways. You will have the opportunity to make a real difference by delivering holistic, evidence-based care in a supportive and innovative environment.
