As a Temp Sous Chef, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and kitchen team during peak service periods or special events. Your Main Responsibilities as Temp Sous Chef
  • Lead and supervise the kitchen team, deputizing for the Head Chef during shifts.
  • Oversee preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to consistent high standards.
  • Assist in stock control, ordering, and kitchen organization.
  • Maintain strict food hygiene, safety, and allergen standards at all times.
  • Deliver excellent service during busy lunch and dinner periods.
  • Adapt quickly to new systems and contribute to a positive working environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
What We're Looking For
  • Minimum of two years as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-quality restaurant or brasserie.
  • Current Level 2 Food Hygiene and Allergen Awareness certification.
  • Passionate about food quality, creativity, and guest satisfaction.
  • Team leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and a hands-on, problem-solving attitude.
  • Knowledge of current food safety regulations; a DBS check is desirable.
