Our client, a well-established and successful business in their industry, are hiring for a Workshop Operative with a strong work ethic and excellent attention to detail. A background in mechanical / electrical assembly is preferred but not essential.   Hours: 08:00 – 16:30 (Mon-Thurs), 08:00 – 13:00 (Fri) Rate: £13.00
Job Type: Temp to perm for the right candidate  Location: Markham Vale, Chesterfield
Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and testing of products, such as air ducting and hose.
  • Testing of final assembled products.
  • Assembly & final packing of hose, ducting and other ancillary products.
  • Liaising with Operations and Engineering departments to ensure jobs are completed to the highest standards and within required timescales.
  • Assist with upkeep of the companies' stock system and item locations.
  • Picking parts for relevant jobs.
  • Keeping a clean and tidy warehouse / workspace. 
  • Assisting current workshop / warehouse staff in all day-to-day duties.
  Requirements:
  • Willingness to learn quickly
  • Positive "can do" attitude
  • Experience using different hand/power tools 
  • Experience of mechanical or electrical assemblies preferred but not essential as full training will be provided.
