Role Overview:

As Membership Sales and General Manager, you will be responsible for delivering an outstanding member experience, hitting ambitious membership sales targets, and overseeing the operational running of the facility. You'll be both a strategic thinker and a hands on leader, engaging members, managing staff, and representing the House of GPA brand with energy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:Sales & Membership Growth:

  • Drive new member acquisition through proactive outreach, partnerships, and marketing campaigns.
  • Convert walk-ins, referrals, and online leads into active members.
  • Develop and manage lead tracking and sales pipelines using CRM software.
  • Deliver monthly reports on membership KPIs and sales performance.
  • Implement retention strategies to reduce attrition and enhance member loyalty.

Team Management & Leadership:

  • Recruit, train, and manage front-of-house and membership sales staff.
  • Set performance targets and lead regular team briefings, one-to-ones, and reviews.
  • Motivate your team to deliver exceptional service and meet sales objectives.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance workplace culture.

Member Experience & Community Engagement:

  • Ensure every member and guest receives a warm, professional, and personalised service.
  • Act as a key ambassador of the House of GPA community both inside and outside the facility.
  • Coordinate events, induction sessions, and initiatives to build community and engagement.
  • Handle member queries, feedback, and escalations with confidence and care.

Operations & Facility Oversight:

  • Oversee daily operations including scheduling, cleanliness, maintenance, and supplies.
  • Ensure the facility complies with health and safety standards and data protection regulations.
  • Manage budgets, payroll input, and supplier relationships as required.
  • Report regularly to the Managing Director on operations, risks, and opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a sales, operations, or general management role ideally within the fitness, leisure, or hospitality sectors.
  • Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Confident using CRM systems, spreadsheets, and scheduling software.
  • Passionate about fitness, performance, and helping others thrive.
  • Flexible and willing to work evenings or weekends when required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £24,420.00-£37,000.00 per year
