Inspire 2 Ignite CIC is a social enterprise working to reduce the number of young people who are
not in education, employment, or training (NEET)
. We design and deliver transformative experiences that help young people discover their purpose, gain confidence, and build the foundations for meaningful work.
This 12-week internship is designed as an exciting entry point into business operations, marketing, and sales, giving the successful candidate direct exposure to how a fast-paced social enterprise runs from the top.
Purpose of the Role
The Business and Marketing Administrator will work
directly with the CEO
to support Inspire 2 Ignite's day-to-day business operations and external communications. You'll play a key role in coordinating meetings, managing mailbox's, inputting key data into project management tools, managing campaign assets, and ensuring the CEO's priorities and project responsibilities are delivered effectively.
This is an opportunity to develop real-world experience in administration, marketing, sales and project management within a growing organisation that values creativity, initiative, and purpose.
Key Responsibilities:
CEO Support & Administration
Manage the CEO's diary, schedule meetings, prepare briefings and reports, and follow up on key actions. Support correspondence and ensure smooth coordination across the team.
Campaign & Marketing Coordination
Assist the I2I team in creating and scheduling marketing assets. Draft engaging content for social media, newsletters, and reports. Maintain and organise digital assets.
Social Media & Communications
Create and schedule posts across platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok). Help develop graphics, edit short videos, and written copy aligned with Inspire 2 Ignite's tone and values.
Stakeholder Engagement
Support the CEO with communication with external partners, board members, and collaborators. Support to provide updates for meetings and events.
Reporting & Organisation
Help track project progress and campaign outcomes, collecting data to feed into projects management systems.
Business Administration
Support day-to-day business operations, including document management, coordinating logistics for meetings and events, and assisting with general administrative tasks to ensure smooth running of the organisation.
Person Specification
- Values & Purpose:
Passionate about youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and social change. - Communication:
Strong written and verbal communication skills; confident in writing professional and engaging copy. - Organisation:
Excellent time management and attention to detail. Comfortable working independently and juggling multiple priorities. - Digital Skills:
Confident with social media, Canva, and Microsoft Office tools. - Professionalism:
Reliable, proactive, and adaptable. Able to be proactive and anticipate the CEO's needs and flag this to them or act accordingly. - Flexibility:
Comfortable working both remotely and from the Citizen Hub, with occasional travel to meetings and events with the CEO and I2I team. - Resilience & Responsiveness:
Able to remain calm and focused when working under pressure, responding quickly and effectively to emerging priorities and tight deadlines while maintaining quality and professionalism.
Terms and Benefits
- Contract:
12 weeks (with potential for extension or progression depending on performance). - Hours:
30 hours per week, flexible around CEO needs, events and meetings. - Pay:
