The Role
As a Director, you will play a central role in leading the Manchester office's service delivery and growth. The Duties

- Contribute to strategic business planning and drive sustainable revenue growth in the Manchester region.
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality audit, tax or advisory services, ensuring technical compliance and operational efficiency.
- Promote innovation and best practice, particularly around digital transformation and client service delivery.
- Manage engagement risk, ensuring adherence to professional and ethical standards.
- Lead major assignments, coordinating resources and ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
- Inspire, coach and develop a talented team of managers and qualified professionals.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration and inclusivity.
- Support professional development, performance management, and succession planning.
- Play an active role in shaping office and firm-wide strategy.
- Monitor financial and operational performance metrics, driving continuous improvement.
- Represent the firm at client, community and industry events, enhancing its profile and reputation.
The Candidate
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA or equivalent).
- Proven track record at Director or Senior Manager level within a professional practice.
- Broad experience in audit, accounting, tax or business advisory services.
- Strong commercial acumen with a record of business development and client retention.
- Skilled people leader with experience managing high-performing teams.
- Experience in leading or integrating acquired teams/offices is advantageous.
- Technologically adept and forward-thinking, with a focus on digital solutions.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and a collaborative, hands-on leadership style.
- Excellent communicator with strong influencing and relationship-building skills.
