Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children in a nursery setting. This role involves providing high-quality care and education to young children, fostering their development through engaging activities and nurturing relationships. The Nursery Practitioner will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to create a safe and stimulating environment for all children.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Plan and implement engaging activities that promote children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their learning journey.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised nursery environment that meets health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop best practices in childcare and early years education.
  • Support the management team in implementing policies and procedures to enhance the quality of care provided.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Childhood Education or Childcare ( 3 Diploma).
  • Previous experience working with children in a nursery or similar setting is essential.
  • Strong management and leadership skills to guide and support junior staff members.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and contributing positively to their development.
  • Driving licence preferred for potential transportation of children for outings or activities.
