Client Accountant | Marketing Consultancy | £35K | London (Hybrid)

Harmonic are delighted to be working with a growing Marketing Consultancy that operates at the intersection of real estate, place-branding and marketing experience.

Founded nearly 20 years ago, the firm has grown to around 50 staff and operates from offices in the UK and Europe. They deliver commercially driven, creative solutions across leasing, sales, corporate branding and full-scale marketing campaigns, working with leading real-estate developers, leisure brands and destination owners in over 40 international markets.

The Role

You will report directly to the Group Finance Director and be based in the London office under a hybrid working model (three days per week in-studio; flexible choice of days subject to business needs). This is a UK‐right to work role. As the Client Accountant you will partner across Finance, Operations and Client Services to ensure high standards of accuracy, structure and process in the client-facing and internal delivery finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial / Project Accounting

  • Establish and maintain client project accounting structures, including budget tracking, cost allocation and revenue recognition.
  • Produce and manage project forecasts, monitor risks, and provide post-delivery performance analysis.
  • Own the full invoicing lifecycle: raise, schedule, issue, and send timely and accurate invoices to clients.
  • Support client onboarding from a financial & compliance perspective.
  • Reconcile invoices, credit-notes, write-offs and forecasting adjustments; monthly reconciliation with Finance; ensure audit-trail, PO-match and revenue recognition compliance.
  • Raise purchase orders, approve supplier margins and manage supplier setup in financial systems.
  • Lead end-of-month (EOM) reviews covering billing, work-in-progress (WIP) and project finances.
  • Manage digital-hosting and domain renewal invoicing and finances.

Resource & Workflow Accounting

  • Support and monitor design resource scheduling using the agency work management platform.
  • Chair the daily briefing meeting to align priorities, capacity and workloads.
  • Maintain planner visibility of team utilisation, report on utilisation and flag capacity risks. Operational Controls & Process Improvement
  • Ensure timesheets are completed accurately and on time; coach team members on best practices.
  • Support IT setup for new joiners and leavers (basic computer setup or reset) as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience in an agency, design or marketing-services environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical capability; highly confident with Excel.
  • Tech-savvy: ideally experience with Scoro (or similar project resource platform), Slack, Dropbox.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple priorities independently.
  • Fluent in English; French is a plus.
