Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £29,000 - £31,000 per annum
Starting salary will be £29,000, passing probationary period, will increase to £31,000.
Lignacite has a bonus scheme based on companywide performance. Last three years this has averaged approximately 20%.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sales Administrator with additional responsibilities covering Transport Scheduling. This is a dynamic, office-based role that supports both our sales operations and logistics planning, ensuring seamless order processing and delivery coordination.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Administration
- Process customer orders received via phone and email using our Microsoft-based system
- Liaise with the haulage team to coordinate deliveries and confirm order details with customers
- Act as a key point of contact for customer queries, providing exceptional service
- Collaborate with the Sales Office Manager and wider teams (Haulage, Quoting, External Sales) to uphold our high service standards
Transport Scheduling (Cover)
- Plan and schedule deliveries in line with customer requirements and vehicle availability
- Use our bespoke Transport Management System to assign routes and communicate with drivers (full training provided)
- Serve as the central link between operations, drivers, and customers to ensure efficient and timely deliveries
- Provide cover at our Nazeing site during periods of holiday (20 days annually) and ad hoc long-term sickness. All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by Lignacite
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years' experience in transport planning or logistics coordination
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communicator with fluent spoken and written English
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at grade C or above
- Familiarity with the geography of London and East Anglia is advantageous
- Willingness to travel and stay at our Nazeing site when required
The transport covering role will at times require relocation to our Nazeing office (main transport planning hub) to cover holidays and any long-term sickness. All travel and accommodation costs for these periods will be covered by Lignacite. Holiday cover will be 20 days; sickness is an unknown factor.
