This is an exciting time at The Little Oak Tree Day Nursery. Due to an expansion of the business, we require a Room Leader to lead our fantastic Woodpecker's Room for children aged 2-4 years old. The individual hired for this role, will initially be hired as a Room Leader for a busy, fast paced, nursery classroom.

As a key member of the nursery management team, you will support the Nursery Manager and Deputy Manager and assist with the day-to-day running of the nursery to ensure that children and parents are provided with high quality childcare which meets the requirements of Ofsted, and also embedding the EYFS whilst maintaining and creating an exciting and inviting environment.

The nursery caters for 38 children aged 0-5 years old.

Qualities required:

Enthusiasm and commitment

Effective communication

Ability to lead and manage a team of five or more staff

A real desire to achieve the highest standards in childcare

A general knowledge of child development

Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety practices

Knowledge of confidentiality and GDPR

Knowledge of Hygge in the Early Years or the Curiosity Approach
