Bluebell Hill Nursery is a newly renovated provision that welcomes children from 6weeks to 4 years. We offer a warm, safe and welcoming environment for every child in our care.
Following the EYFS we encourage and support children in their development, helping them bloom in their individual way.
With all focus on learning through play, we ensure that the priority is on fun and happy well-being for our children as well as their families and our staff.
Our staff are dedicated, caring and highly experienced, which alongside our stimulating environment enables children to thrive and our approachable manner means that we encourage communications between staff and parents/carers to guarantee the best all round care.
We are looking to recruit experienced qualified level 3 staff members who are passionate about the development and wellbeing of children to join our experienced team as we continue to expand here at Bluebell Hill Nursery.
Previous experience working in a baby room essential.
The candidate must be willing to undergo further training.
Bluebell Hill Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

All successful applicants will be required to complete an enhanced DBS (formerly CRB) check and register with the update service.
The DBS must be maintained throughout the period of employment. Immediate start desired.

Salary: £13.17 per hour (Term time only)

PERSONAL SPECIFICATION FOR
Full time BabyRoom Lead
ROLE DEFINITION
Have a group of Babies whom you will be key person for.
Oversee the daily running of the baby room.
Monitor pupil progress.
Create bespoke learning plans and keep on top of targets/reviews.
Create a stimulating and happy learning environment.
Support Babies learning on a 1:1 or in small groups.
Liaise with other staff/management/professionals to ensure the best progress is being made.
Be able to handle challenging behaviours.
Be flexible and adaptable to meet specific needs.
Be creative and organised in your approach to learning.
Be passionate about helping babies achieve their goals, celebrating both big and small steps.
Plan, prepare and deliver activities focusing on learning through play.
Observe and carry out activities with children including leading small group times.
Support children's personal care needs encouraging independence.
Support at snack and mealtimes promoting healthy eating as well as mirroring the baby's home routine.
Work well as part of a team as well as using own initiative.
Work together to maintain a safe environment reporting and dealing with any hazards promptly.
Keep learning journeys up to date and organised.
Attend regular planning/staff meetings.
Communicate with parents/Carers about the progress and other aspects of their child's day.
Report safeguarding concerns appropriately and promptly.
Monday-Friday 8:45-3:45 Term time.
Provide high quality care and education for all children who attend the setting.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Childcare qualification level 3 or above
• Good level of maths and English
• Good knowledge of the EYFS
• Recent experience working in a baby room.
