Lead the Future of Business Growth in Rotherham.

Rotherham Council is seeking a dynamic and visionary Service Manager to lead our Business Hubs portfolio and drive forward our ambitious economic development agenda.

This is a pivotal leadership role within the Economic Development Service, reporting directly to the Head of Economic Development. You will oversee a diverse and growing portfolio of business and enterprise hubs, including five purpose-built business centres, a town centre market complex, and a high street retail shop.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the operational delivery and strategic development of Rotherham's Business Hubs.
• Drive service innovation and continuous improvement across facilities and programmes.
• Foster a thriving business ecosystem, supporting start-ups and SMEs in their growth journey.
• Manage budgets, facilities, staffing, and customer service across multiple sites.
• Collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and business owners to deliver impactful outcomes.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing business centres, markets, or multi-let premises.
• Strong track record in designing and delivering business support programmes.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and partnership working skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and performance management capabilities.
• Passion for supporting local enterprise and economic growth.

Additional Information

• Some meetings may be held outside normal office hours.
• Basic DBS required.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure, those who experience a pay reduction will be awarded three additional days leave (pro rata for part-time).
