Are you passionate about making a difference for children and families?

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as Head of Service for First Response.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee:

Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH)

  • Assessment Teams
  • Evolve – Our exploitation team
  • Engage – Our emergency support team
  • Out of Hours Service

You will work closely with our Head of Service for Family Help and our Transformation lead to drive forward operational change and embed the Families First Partnership Programme into practice across Rotherham.

What We're Looking For:

A qualified social worker with substantial experience in leading statutory children's services within a local authority.

  • A strategic thinker with a strong track record of performance improvement and service transformation.
  • A collaborative leader who can build positive relationships with statutory partners, the voluntary sector, and communities.
  • Someone with the passion and ambition to deliver outstanding services for children, young people, and families.

Until 31st March 2026 employees paid at Band D and above are subject to a temporary pay reduction of 1.15% spread out by means of a monthly deduction from each pay period over the full financial year.
