Solar Sales Trainer – Join Our Growing Clean Energy Team

Location: Solihull (West Midlands)

Employment Type: Full-time / Permanent (office based)

As we continue to expand, we're looking for a dynamic Sales Trainer (preferably solar) to empower our sales force with the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to excel in an evolving industry.

Role Overview

The Sales Trainer will design, deliver, and refine high-impact training programs for new and experienced sales representatives. You'll be responsible for creating engaging learning experiences that deepen product understanding, build sales capability, and drive performance across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver onboarding programs for new solar sales consultants and reps
  • Provide ongoing coaching, workshops, and refresher sessions
  • Train teams on solar products, system design basics, financing options, and market regulations
  • Conduct role-plays and live sales coaching to improve pitch quality and closing skills
  • Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs to meet performance goals
  • Collaborate with sales leaders to identify capability gaps and training needs
  • Produce training materials, guides, and digital resources
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and compliance requirements

Requirements

  • Proven experience in solar sales, renewable energy, or technical sales training
  • Strong presentation, coaching, and communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Experience developing training materials (slides, scripts, modules, etc.)
  • High energy, positive attitude, and passion for helping others succeed
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and solar proposal software (e.g., Aurora, Solo, Helios) is a plus
