Cash Processing Specialist

SALARY: From £24,028 pa dependent on experience
LOCATION: Milton Keynes
HYBRID WORKING:
Our current hybrid working policy requires a minimum of 60% of working time to be based in the Milton Keynes office however flexibility is expected to meet the needs of the business and the role.

We're looking for a Cash Processing Specialist to join our finance team. In this role, you'll ensure that every incoming payment is processed accurately, keeping our Accounts Receivable ledger in great shape. Your sharp eye for detail and problem-solving skills will help resolve allocation queries quickly and efficiently, driving smooth operations across the business.

What You'll Be Doing

• Processing incoming payments on the Accounts Receivable ledger, adhering to Treating Customers Fairly principles around ageing cash received.
• Investigating and resolving payment queries within agreed targets to ensure customer payments are accurately accounted for.
• Managing Direct Debit processes, including daily collection and instruction files, within strict timescales.
• Handling ad-hoc invoice and credit note requests from all business areas, meeting agreed service levels.
• Identifying and processing customer refunds in line with refund rules, maintaining accurate records for authorisation.
• Maintaining balance sheet and account integrity, supporting senior specialists with internal and external audits and demonstrating robust controls for sales ledger management across VWFS and MFS.

Essential Experience & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of SAP FI.
• Previous experience in Accounts Receivable.
• Proficiency with Excel.
• Strong analytical approach and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to investigate and clear outstanding items on balance sheet accounts.
• Highly organised, with the ability to work flexibly and effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
