We're looking for a visionary and commercially astute leader to join our Rights team as VP of Rights. This role will spearhead our global sports rights strategy, owning high-impact relationships with leagues, federations, and agencies across the world.
As a senior figure in the business, you'll shape our acquisition pipeline, lead negotiations with key stakeholders, and play a central role in driving the profitability and global expansion of Stats Perform's rights portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the SVP Rights to define and execute a global sports rights strategy that aligns with broader business objectives.
- Lead end-to-end negotiations with top-tier sports rights holders across leagues, federations, and agencies.
- Own the lifecycle of rights partnerships: from pitch to contract, onboarding, and long-term relationship growth.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities, assessing commercial models and long-term ROI.
- Collaborate with sales, product, and finance to build rights packages that drive revenue and deliver commercial value.
- Represent Stats Perform at industry events and build thought leadership within the sports and sports data ecosystem.
- Deliver market intelligence, competitor benchmarking, and strategic insights to the wider business.
- Mentor and support more junior members of the rights team as needed.
Desired Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in sports rights, media, betting, or related commercial environments.
- Deep expertise in the global sports ecosystem and strong existing relationships across key stakeholders.
- Proven ability to close high-value commercial partnerships and manage complex negotiations.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience evaluating ROI and long-term value.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident, strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-moving, global environment.
- Passionate about the power of sport and sports data to drive value across betting, media, and fan engagement.
