Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Builder's Cleaner Supervisor to join our team on a self employed basis. The role involves cleaning a large newly constructed industrial building. You need to ensure it is spotless, safe, and ready for client handover and includes working from height. You will play a crucial role in the final stages of this construction project, contributing to a professional and high-quality finish. You will need to have a current CSCS card and SSSTS certified for this work which is planned to start on 01/12/2025. The Supervisor will be expected to attend daily briefing meetings and pass the information on to the cleaning team so good communication skills are essential.

The contract is initially for 6 weeks but may be extended by several months.

We need to take on:

A Supervisor with a fit to work certificate, CSCS Card and SSSTS certified- £25 per hour.

The work times will be from 8am until 6pm, Monday to Friday but hours may vary based on project timelines and site access and Saturday work may sometimes be required.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Attending Briefing Meetings from the Employer.
  • Organising and attending Cleaning Team briefings to cascade information.
  • General Supervision of the Cleaning Team members whilst work is being carried out.
  • Dusting of high ceiling beams, walls ceilings and columns (using MEWPs and scaffolding) to achieve a completely dust free finish.
  • Perform thorough cleans of the construction site including dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
  • Clean windows, sills, walls, doors, beams and all other surfaces.
  • Remove paint splatters, glue residues, and construction debris.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchens, bathrooms, and other facilities.
  • Properly dispose of waste and ensure recycling is sorted as required.
  • Operate cleaning equipment safely (e.g., vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers).
  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.
  • Follow health and safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Report any damages, maintenance issues, or hazards to the employer.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Supervisor, ideally in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Previous experience of cleaning at height.
  • Previous experience as a cleaner, ideally in a construction or industrial setting.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices.
  • Physically fit and capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work unsupervised.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.

Preferred:

  • Experience using industrial cleaning equipment

Working Conditions:

  • Work may be carried out on an active construction site.
  • PPE (e.g., hard hat, high-vis vest, safety boots, glasses, masks and gloves) must be worn at all times for all staff.

Please Note:

This cleaning work requires the premises to be handed over as a dust free environment which will be tested for airborne and surface dust particles.
