Position Overview

Jefferies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
Vice President
to join its
Industrials Investment Banking team
in
London
. This role offers the opportunity to take a leadership position within a dynamic and growing team, working on a wide range of complex and high-profile M&A, equity, and debt financing transactions across the EMEA Industrials sector.

The successful candidate will be a key player in driving transaction execution, mentoring junior bankers, and contributing to client development efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Execution:
    Lead the execution of M&A, equity, and debt financing transactions across a broad range of Industrials sub-sectors (e.g., Aerospace & Defense, Building Products, Transportation, Engineering, Environmental Services).
  • Client Engagement:
    Support senior bankers in origination efforts and manage day-to-day client interaction on live deals.
  • Financial Analysis:
    Oversee and review financial modeling, valuation analyses (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, trading comps), and due diligence processes.
  • Pitching:
    Drive preparation of client materials, including pitch books, management presentations, CIMs, and board materials.
  • Team Leadership:
    Manage and mentor Associates and Analysts, providing guidance on technical work, project management, and professional development.
  • Market Knowledge:
    Stay abreast of trends, developments, and key players within the Industrials sector across EMEA.
  • Cross-Border Coordination:
    Work collaboratively with sector teams and product groups across geographies, particularly in the US and Asia.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 6–9 years of investment banking experience, with a strong preference for prior experience in Industrials or closely related sectors.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading the execution of M&A and capital markets transactions.
  • Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Proven leadership in managing deal teams and mentoring junior staff.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple workstreams under pressure.
  • Bachelor's degree from a top-tier institution; MBA or other relevant postgraduate degree is a plus but not required.
  • Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
