Deputy Nursery Manager & Baby Room Lead – Wood Wharf Kindergarten, Canary Wharf

Level 3 DfE-Approved Early Years Qualification Required

This is a combined Deputy Nursery Manager and Baby Room Lead position. You will spend most of your time leading and supporting the baby room, while also assisting with nursery management tasks, including staff guidance and administrative duties, particularly in the absence of the Nursery Manager. You'll play a key role in maintaining high standards of care, learning, and compliance across the nursery.

Your Role:

  • Lead and manage the baby room, supporting staff and maintaining high-quality care
  • Assist the Nursery Manager with operational tasks and staff development
  • Monitor compliance, ratios, and record-keeping
  • Promote safeguarding, child protection, and nursery values

What You'll Need:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
  • Experience as Deputy Manager or Senior Practitioner
  • Strong EYFS knowledge & understanding of Ofsted standards
  • Leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Passion for early childhood development and team collaboration
