Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hospitality within our establishment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hotel operations and a passion for delivering exceptional service. As the Head Housekeeper, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a comfortable and welcoming environment during their stay.

Duties

  • Oversee the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring that all areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Manage and train housekeeping staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to maintain cleanliness and organisation.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise efficiency.
  • Handle inventory management for cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special requests or guest needs.
  • Address any guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the housekeeping department.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a hotel or hospitality environment is essential.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
  • Janitorial experience is preferred, with a solid understanding of cleaning techniques and products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends as needed.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
