Are you an experienced Senior Carer looking to take the next step in your career?

We're looking for a dedicated and confident Care Lead / Supervisor to join our friendly team at Hollywynd Rest Home — a small, independent residential care home with a Good CQC rating.

You'll be joining a well-established and supportive team with a long-standing Manager and Deputy, and a caring, stable staff group who are passionate about providing high-quality, person-centred care to our residents.

About the Role

As a Care Lead / Supervisor, you will:

  • Run the shift when on duty, ensuring high standards of care and teamwork are maintained.
  • Support, guide, and mentor care staff — leading by example on the floor.
  • Undertake additional training to enable you to step up in the absence of the Manager or Deputy.
  • Work closely with the management team to maintain compliance and uphold our person-centred values.
  • Work 30 hours per week, including some weekends (at most every other weekend).
  • Have the opportunity for overtime when available.
  • Be expected to undertake occasional on-call responsibilities, with support and guidance provided.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (preferred).
  • Willing to work towards Level 4 qualification.
  • Experience as a Senior Carer or in a similar leadership role within a care home setting.

Pay: From £12.85 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week

  • Do you hold a Level 2 qualification in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)?
  • Would you be willing to cover occasional on-call duties with support from the management team?
  • Are you confident leading a shift and supervising a team of care staff?
  • Are you able to work every other Saturday and Sunday, if required?
  • Are you able to fulfill the shift pattern of 8am-2pm/2pm-8pm/8am-8pm

Experience:

  • Senior care: 5 years (required)
  • Medication administration: 5 years (required)
  • providing care: 5 years (required)

Language:

  • English (required)

Licence/Certification:

  • NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (preferred)
